For two weeks I have been intending to blog about the New England Regional SBL meeting that took place April 20, but my notes from that meeting have been in my car (which has been in the car twice since the meeting).

This won’t be a post about that meeting, but I did want to go ahead and post a link to blog written by another biblical scholar I met at the meeting.  Jim Getz, who is doing doctoral work at Brandeis, writes a blog called Ketuvim.  Jim and I had a chance to chat between sessions, after he had delivered his paper on the Nazarites.

I encourage people to check out his blog.  Jim posted yesterday on the subject of the ESV, a topic I discussed here on Thursday.  His take on the issue of translation is well worth a read.
